My little man and I the night before our cute baby girl was born....

Right after she was born....time was 6:22 AM

These 3 got to see their baby sister born, what an awesome experience! They are chillin' on MY bed, waiting for me and baby to come in....

She had a ton of "cheese" on her...WAY more then any of the other kids!!!!!

Charlotte latched on right away and has been a GREAT nurser!!! Makes me so, so happy....

Daddy getting her weight! 6 pounds, 7 ounces!!!

Rylie woke up about a 1/2 hr after Charlie was born. This is the student midwife Ashley, checking her vitals and everything, getting measurements...etc....Rylie was right in the middle of all of it! So cute!

We love this baby girl so much. I've told a few people this, but, its so neat to me. When I went in for a checkup at my wonderful midwife's office, they asked how everyone was adjusting and stuff. So we talked about many things. The one thing that hit me was that she was about a week old I think when I went in for the checkup. And I told them, that she's only a week old, but yet it seems like SO much longer. It seems as those my Charlotte Ann has been here with us always. She has just fit right in and it feels like she has always been apart of us as a family. Things feel "whole" and "complete"...
She is 2 1/2 weeks now...and I have more pictures of her to post, (and more blogging to catch up on of course! ) but that'll have to wait for another day!!! Time is limited around here...and time revolves around this little one. And I'm so, so, so glad that it does...
Happy New Year!

Thank you for posting those beautiful pictures. I went to a friend's homebirth right before the twins were born and it was an AMAZING experience. You did good!
Congratulations! You are a strong woman to deliver at home and I am so glad that it is such a wonderful experience for your entire family. Welcome Miss Charlotte!
I am so happy for your sweet family! I love the name too. She is so beautiful and it brings back wonderful memories for me of my childhood. I was able to be at many of my mother's homebirths! I remember feeling the Spirit so strong and knowing I wanted to be a mother too. You are doing wonderful things for your children. Love ya!
I love this post! What an amazing experience--for all of you!!! This makes me wish I were still in that stage of life (mostly...) ;-) Instead I guess I'll just have to enjoy these experiences through others, like you. Thanks so much for sharing!
