Let me tell you a little story...

I have been on a strict training schedule for my 1/2 marathon in Agoura Hills California. I ran all the miles I was supposed to do. I was EXCITED to get away for the weekend and be with my mom and friend. I have trained well and felt READY to take on this race. These pictures are from where the race is taking place...

Is that NOT GORGEOUS???!!! Sad, but true....I will NOT be participating in this race in this amazing place....*sniff* *sniff*

Why....might you ask?!!!!

Mr FLU came this week, very unexpectedly and very un-announced and very unwelcomed. I have been a permanent fixture on my Stupid couch for almost 5 days now. I am still not over it, and my energy level is next to NIL....so out goes my big race....

Let's all shed a tear....have a moment of silence....

Ok, moving onward...I have already found another 1/2 marathon to replace the one I'm missing. I am still VERY sad to be missing it and missing out on the chance to run it with Christine...BUT looking to the future is where I'm at.

So May 3rd you'll find me running the Whiskey Row 1/2 Marathon in Prescott AZ....No, it's not California...but I L-O-V-E Prescott. And I actually ran this race last year but did the 10K and
LOVED it so much! So I'm excited to go back there and just do a different, LONGER route!!!!

So, here's to ANOTHER month of training!!! :)

Sad for you that you couldn't make this Run. But, I am seriously jealous of you...I wish I could run. I only run one race a year and it's the Pat Tillman Run (a long 4.25 miles, lol) I make my kids run with me so that I can blame my time on them...even though I am the one slowing them down, lol! I hope you are feeling better. I am gonna go run up my stairs to bed now for some exercise...hope I make it up, wish me luck. (lol)
